Training, it’s not just for newbies.  Training, and refresher training, is an excellent method of keeping in front of employees (this includes top management to new hires) abreast of not only OSHA safety regulations but your company’s safety policies and practices.

Knowing how to safely carry out work tasks is simple, but very important.  Remembering how to safety carry out a work task comes from repetition, reminders from coworkers and supervisors as well as periodic training.  Employees who have received training topic presented previously benefit from reminders.

Training for some tasks (for example, fork lift operation) is required under OSHA but any task undertaken unsafely, can result in injury or worse.  So train.  Training costs so very little compared to an injured employee, lost work time, slow down in production and dealing with insurance or lawyers.
