Three Points of Contact, or How to Defeat Gravity.

Everyone knows about gravity.  At an early age, many of us fell from climbing up a tree.  And we all learned that falling is not much fun.  In the workplace, falls are a known workplace hazard. Any time you climb a ladder, enter a piece of equipment or must access some elevated location, use three points of contact.

This simple safety practice means two hands and one foot contacting the climbing surface of two feet and one hand.  At all times.  I’ve used this safety practice, and found it slow, but much much faster than healing from a fall injury.

This is how you defeat gravity.  Three points of contact.
