Loading dock safety.
Loading docks play in important but simple role in the movement of everything from food. Steel, auto parts and sport equipment. Loading docks are essentially platforms with access points for trucks. Trucks can back to the dock to drop off or pick up materials from the dock unto/from truck trailers.
Safety on loadings docks is fairly straight forward but the hazards that exist can lead to serious injury. The hazards are fall, caught between, moving forklifts and the trucks themselves and falling materials stored in racks and on forklifts.
Employees working on loading docks need be safety trained in the hazard recognition of and how to avoid such hazards. Only takes a few minutes of training. Avoid injury. Loading dock safety
