Do you need a Hazardous Communication Program?

Do you have a hazardous communication (Haz Com) program?  What is an Haz Comm program? Do I need an Haz Comm program?

Let’s answer these questions in reverse order.  Yes, you need an Haz Comm program if you have hazardous chemicals in the workplace. A Haz Comm program identifies the hazardous chemicals in the workplace and generally provides the procedures and specific chemical (via the SDS) safe handling procedures and safeguard means when using the chemicals in the workplace.  Yes, it must be in writing so search the web for “examples of hazardous chemical programs”.  You will find many to choose from.
