Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) provides support for mine safety in ways other than mere inspections and citations. MSHA also provides a great resource for making known safety hazards which exist at many mines. Topics of these Safety Alerts include vehicle rollovers, roof and rib safety guidance, and pillar collapses, among many others.
Go to https://www.msha.gov/news-media/alerts-hazards/filter to see the list of pertinent topics. Consider using these topics as a source of safety talks at your mine. These topics are also suitable subjects for new miner/experienced miner and refresher training.
