If you know the top 10 non complying safety conditions for which the Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) identifies as hazards to your employees, you have a good starting point.

Are you a small business? Have a limited safety budget?  Do  you want to help keep your employees safe at work?  Consider looking at the OSHA top 10 citations for 2019.  OSHA will issue noncompliance citations for unsafe conditions.  Of the many OSHA safety standards that exist, OSHA commonly issues citations for the following noncomplying conditions:

  • Fall protection training,
  • Fall protection general requirements,
  • Lock out Tag out,
  • Scaffolding,
  • Respiratory protection,
  • Ladders,
  • Fork lift,
  • Machine guarding,
  • Eye and face protection,
  • Hazard communication (right to know).

AND, noncomplying conditions translates directly into employee injury or death.

Look at your work place conditions and see if any of these top 10 exist.   Employees trained in the above 10 will be a good start for your safety program.  Oh, BTW, these top 10 apply to large companies as well.
